sweet... my setups very similar to yours... and i'm sure by now you've noticed the biggest annoyance... what to do about the nasty glare...

a friend of mine knows how to mold fiberglass and carbon fiber... thinking of making some kind of a cover or visor for it... what do you think?

true glare is a ***** during the day but I have some antireflective film from 3m I am going to try out. I think once they release the backlight upgrade kit the picture will be much easier to see.

I spoke with Acura and they told me that I wouldn't have to worry about the brain part of the AC controls because my current AC controls should have it... trust them or not?

    [Rant]Never trust the dealer[/Rant]

Unless "The Book" says otherwise, they know nothing.

Case in point. I had a WRX (Duh, look at my screen name) and I had run some wires through a grommet in the firewall. Well, when doing something, I lost the grommet. It fell out.

So, I went to the dealer to get a replacement. He looked and looked in his book, and could not find it. He then told me, I have no idea what you are talking about, there is no grommet for that space. I took him out to show him the spot. He said there must not be anything that goes in there, because there is nothing in the book like that.

Your dealer is a moron thinking that your current ac would control the nav buttons you need:

    Part 79610-S0K-A22 COMPUTER ASSY
Which is listed as part 2 in the picture and:

Part 20-S0K-A41ZA SWITCH ASSY., MODE CONTROL
Which is listed as part 3 in the picture below.

Goto acuraparts247.com to view parts for your car thats where I got mine.

Right on. Appreciate that. And yes, in short, never trust the dealer. 1 actually told me I needed it, the other said no I didn't...

Hey Skippy, thanks for showing us the way.

Now that my car is past the 50k warranty, its time for me to join the crowd.

Regarding the glare, I'm thinking of increasing the brightness with a few LEDs drilled into the screen acrylic.

As for the climate system, I really like the dual dial control.
Do you think its possible to cut up the climate control, put the dials below the screen, and scatter the buttons on the sides?

Also, where can I go to find the pictures for the parts? Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply, I had not been keeping up with this thread since I sold my tl. Anywho, I don think you can hack up the ac controls like that since they are just on big pcb but it would be interesting to see it done hehe. Also an update, the person who bought my TL totaled it on i75 RIP TL.
