Thread: Another Scion TC Install

The screen is a 7'' lilliput. However if you want to keep your door the only way to fit it in the double din door is to chop the unit apart. The HVAC controls are on a lip behind the door. Thus the only way to fit the unit in while keepin the door is to cut apart the lilly and relocate the controls.

I do not suggest this with a lilly because of the low quality and tolerance of the monitor. I spent hours and hours fixing the stupid ribbon cable, reordering new cables, only to have the retaining clip break, then having to rig up a toothpick retaining system...

Those who have taken apart lilly's can I get a witness =).

Finally as of yesterday the lilly is dead. Once again I had to take it out and repair the cable (i have 2 spares). This time she's dead, no new cables, no amount of wiggling and moving.

Im heavily debating staying with this hobby as it is getting expensive. I am overa a 1G with the GPS, C134, EPIA, memory, HD's, lilly, replacment parts, etc.

Now I have to spend another $400 for a PROPER Xenarc monitor. WTF #%*#&A(%*)&@#$()%&*@()#&*A%*()@#&%*()&@#%*()&%()*& @#()&*%@()#*%&()*%&#*()%&&@#*()&%)#^%R*)&#^%)@&*(# .

This time im ordering a Xenarc 7'' ... leaving it in the friggin case, and getting rid of the TC door.
