Just got Frodo's XM business working with my XM Direct (cable courtesy of someone here IIRC), and picked up a rear-view camera from ebay.

It's like the work never ends...

Awesome!!! I didn't realize you could mod out a Maxima like that. I thought you'd have to really $#$@ with the insides to add a carputer. One question though: Do all the buttons work? Like, do you have the A/C display on your monitor like on the factory system?

EDIT: Ooops!!! Didn't notice the orange screen at the bottom of the center dash console! Now that I noticed that, your install looks really awesome!!!!!

great work, I have a friend who a Max who was interested in doing this, and didn't think it was possible.. I'll be showing him this thread and a starting point

Sweet freaking install. I'm thinking about getting a Maxima and I'm glad to know it's possible for a nice install. How much fab work did you have to do to get the LCD in where the factory stuff was? How much work did you have to do to relocate the factory orange screen to the bottom?

Couple more questions:

1. Did you tie this into your head unit? I didn't see you replacing the stock radio and didn't know if it had: a: RCA's or b: AUX Inputs

2. How far is the touchscreen from you? Can you comfortably use it or is it a stretch?

3. Can you provide more pictures of the console that you had to relocate?
