Just finished this install yesterday. We were able to load the new version of ESXManager which made the customer very happy.
The system has one 7" Touch Screen as the main control unit, one 10.4" VGA display mounted in the front and a 42" plasma screen mounted behind black perspects in the back.
More photo's here.

this is really nice. i whis i could start a company on the east coast like that...
props to you guys!
that would be cool if the plasma was a touch screen. then i could mount one on the dash in my car. lol jk
It bothers me a bit you insist on referencing the computer as the "Mobile Warrior" system when its just an M10000 in what looks to be a Travla case. Its not like you guys invented that hardware or that configuration even.
I do have to respect the install though; it is nicely done

I've been interested in their software since the day they posted here about getting their own topic for it. (Actually I was interested in it a while back, but didn't want to pa for it). The day they posted the screen shots here, I put the up on Mobile-Effects.com, and they are still there.
Well, It's 6 am here, and I'm rambling. I just basically wanted to say that I respect their work and what they're doing.

Why do we call our systems "Mobile Warrior", why does my mechanic refer to my car as an F350 not four wheels and an engine.
The name means it was assembled by use, uses parts we have tested and qualified, has our software preloaded and we stand behind it and support it.
Why is that different from a Tiwanese box assembled by people who have no idea about carputers, don't have any plans to support it, will only offer it for six months before changing production and refuse to replace defective products. Hmm maybe I should change the product name to ITX BOARD IN BLACK BOX
Some people on these forums really like to flame us. Most of the time I don't even bother responding. For some reason there are some old school carputer people that see us as the big bad carputer business that will ruin their hobby for ever. To these people I can only say get a life.
Let me address a couple things here that have annoyed me on these forums.
- Everyone working for 12vsystems.com has a background in Engineering. All of us meet through our hobby of building carputers, we all choose to do this because we see the limitless potential. We are focused on R&D and had a software package built before the business plan was started. We all invested a lot of time and money to get this started. We do this full time and have to make a living from it. I don't understand why some people hate us for that. Reading some posts on these forums make me laugh. Some people love to be assholes but these are the same people that haven't even got their carputer finished or just couldn't build a working carputer period.
-Carputer guys that think they should be the only ones allowed to ever install a computer into their car because they feel they are the only ones 3l337 enough. (not too many on the forums but there are still some around)
These arrogant guys really annoy me. We all had to start somewhere and even the most technical people have to ask for help when working in new area's. So grow up and stop thinking you are all that, there is always someone that know's more then you.
-Carputers shoudn't be commercial. There is a lot of resistance on this forum against commercial ventures. I can appreciate why people like open source but you also need to see the advantages that commercial exposure will bring.
-People are able to develop systems full time not just as a hobby.
-The user base will increase, increasing demand for addons and new features.
-The people on these forums have the most to gain because they are the most experinced and technical.
-Prices will fall and parts will become even easier to get.
-If GM or BMW comes out with a carputer it will be so dwarfed that it will create a huge market for upgrades and make carputers more accepted.
I am not against open source, we have looked at making ESXManager open source and we are still willing to if we could protect our core business (custom installs). I am a big fan of Frodoplayer, I am working with Frodobaggins to test their new google map functionality.
wow somebody need to vent...
can i call mine road mobile warrior?
or "My Little Warrior"? MLW for short. Maybe mine is the MLW III?
How about "The Warrior Mobile Thats in my Trunk Like A Thousand Other People On This Planet with the same Idea for Installing a Computer In their Car or Truck"?
By The way, very nice install...

I think it's funny how so many people seem to think they have to tell everybody what to do here...
It's a beautifull install.
And the fact that the pc is "just" an epia-travla combo doesn't make it less of a product.
You should know how many routers/gateways/wireless bridges just run linux/bsd...
