I don't know if my install meets your criteria, but here's my project. I also just found this forum so I'de like to show my project to see what you all think. I didn't know that there is a whole community that puts computers into their cars. I thought I was being original. this isn't too innovative but I modified an detatchable face plate to control some functions in centrafuse. this allows me to have a tacticle button to press so i dont have to take my eyes off the road.

I put a CL-S shifter assembly in my car and use the "+" and "-" to go forward or back one song, or seek through the song.

I compose my own beats, upload them to my carputer, then drive to a big parking lot full of people, take two microphones (one for my friend) connect mine and his cars' sound systems together and do some freestyle rap for a few hours. His car provides the tremble, mine does the base, together we make a pretty cool show

Hardly innovative, but probably the weirdest way to use your car pc(s).
