2001 Volvo S60 Install

Well thanks to a 3 day weekend I finally got my carputer installed. I still have some bugs to work out and some more wires to hide. But at least I have my car computer back.

Computer Specs

Asus P4BGL-MX Motherboard
P4 2.2Ghz
256MB DDR
120GB 3.5 Hard Drive
OPUS 150 Power Supply
Lilliput Running External Backlight Inverter with Stock CCFL
Garmin 15L GPS
XMDirect - Not installed yet

Audio

Apline 4 channel amp running the stock speakers in the front and rear doors

and for the pictures!

I will be taking some more pictures of the actual computer, but i'm waiting till I get my new case.

cos thats the way the double din is in the plate. you can use the side space for other stuff.

2001 Volvo S60 Dash Fab Pictures

stupid me, I deleted all of the fab pictures for the new one, but that is the link to the first attempt, which I did pretty much the same way as this, just this time I used a bunch of thin coats of bondo instead of one thick coat. I also retained the lines of the lilliput face as the straight lines work good with the volvo dash

I was thinking about that, but I dont like the look of the fin, I think I am going to hide the gps antenna in the 3rd taillight

and I am not sure I am going to keep that antenna when I go to the dead reckoning system

good work on that dash peice. I am glad you didn't settle less. It looks so much better. I have been fighting with my dash peices lines and paint matching. It is going to take a friggen miracle to get the right color. I spent 50 bucks this last weekend on paint and supplies made to the specs of the MFG but it is too dark. I am going to have to get creative.... I have painted my dash bezel 10 times and fab or refabricated it 3 times.

I think if one thing is done right it should be the dash peice
