Looks like he could change lanes on the highway, and start peeling up the reflectors with it.
    Nice molded-in screen though.

More pics and same question about the body kit. Also where did you mount the pc and what are the specs? Your wheel reminds me of those MOMO ones, is it one or a different one?

So ya more pics and info on the car mods & computer.

    Wow

I have not been to this site in forever. I guess I will update this thread as my car has changed a little and so has my carputer. Sucks, cause i just found a PM from someone from CNET asking to do a feature of my car, guess i missed out on that one since it was over a year ago that they asked.

First off, about myself. I am currently living in Japan, I still own the car "Phoenix" and she is sitting tucked away at a facility in southern california till my contract is up with the company I work for. I still have a little under 2 years here, and I have been here for a year.

In the pictures you see above, that is literally taken 2 days after she was completed in Utah, those pictures were taken in Kansas at a car show. 2 weeks after that show, back in Utah, someone decided to be drunk in the middle of the afternoon, and cross the center lane destroying the front end of the car. I literally purchased an entire front end of an mr2 and rewelded it back together with extra supports, better than OEM. There is one spot on the front chassis that i couldn't get right, but its only 1.2 mm off of OEM via a rather expensive frame machine ($127 bucks an hour at 9 hours). I quit my job at the time, and worked on her full time for 2 months, went to a few shows, and then took off for Japan.

Right now, I am currently researching a new CPU for my carputer as i am using an old toshiba laptop that I had to run it. It has given me problems ever since i installed it so I am wanting to go with a mini-ITX system that mp3car offers in there store, so i am trying to decide right now what I want. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am wanting....

    MP3 Playback
    Video Playback
    GPS
and I really want something that can give me live data from my aftermarket EMS that will be installed when i get back. That has me confused as i haven't found much on that, so if you guys know of anything that will hook into a computer and give me live data like Air/Fuel or engine temps, i would appreciate it.

To answer some of your questions:

That front lip is removable, at that time, i was too lazy to bolt it up completely but i have used the lip while driving on a closed/clean track and had no problems scraping. If I drove it on the road, a pebble would tear it off

I only have pics of the screen. It's a lilliput 7" fiberglassed into the dash. I hate it because i cant see it during the day, so i might be upgrading to the sun/visible model for convertibles. The actual CPU is a toshiba laptop with a destroyed screen, i figured I wasn't using it for anything else so why not. But i am wanting to upgrade. The laptop is currently bolted to the back firewall behind my drivers seat.

No, its not bagged. I have thought about it considering I dropped it some more, and the front of the side skirts literally sit 1.7 inches off the ground. I haven't scraped it though because it sits so close to the front tires. I am worried about driving it though because of the molded body. 1 crack and the whole car gets painted

Its different than the momo ones, i got it from a company here in the states, and its really dissapointing because i thought it would be better quality and its not. I really like the D style steering wheels so i will be going with a sparco extreme 2 that i picked up here in japan.

Wish i had more pics of the install, but i don't right now, they are all on my laptop in my car back in the states.

Here is a magazine article that i have of the car that was done several months ago. These are the most up to date pictures of the car that i have. Unfortunatly i don't have many pics of the interior, sorry

    Enjoy
