meddler: hows u go with making the brakets for the screen?? ive got the back of my concole cut out but i havent gotten around to doing the brakets yet

well he is my screen install, it still needs a little bracing at the top.. but al in all its works alright as is..

the screws re counter sunk so the ash tray (spare screws holder) can go in smoothly

here is the roof console in.. its still unfinished but everything is inside ready for wiring.
it holds to the roof real well without any movement

looking good. Actually your design for the monitor mount looks good. I am now making up the same thing but with another bracket that goes across the top to give support to the top of the monitor. I will try to get one made for you if you like. It also should give a place to mount a 40mm fan for the top of the screen due to hearing that some people have had problems with the screen overheating when installed in the dash.

yeah im gona put a brace across the top but i havent gotten around to that yet. but it does need it..
i wasnt gonna put a fan but maybe i might?? hmm i do have a spare one arround i think.. but it might be a 5v one.. i will have to check

I thought it would need the extra bracked at the top. If I get 2 of them made at work tomorrow, i'll let you know. (unless you want to make it yourself

thats looking awsome! cant wait to see the final result, just curious though, what did you attatch the box to the roof with? the rear view mirror bracket?

thanks phobos.. i cant wait to see it all finished also, its taking ages...
i'll try and explain how i attaced it without the pics of it.. i will get some proper pics..

this is the font.. there is 2 plates that are hinged at the front.. the bottom plate is glued to the console and the other plate has 3 holes in it.. the three screws that used to hold up the mirror how screw into that plate and the mirror is now strewed into the bottom of the console.. get me?
and the big center hole in the middle is where all the wire goes thru as all my wire runs up the 2 a pillars and down that hole into the box.
