Hi peeps.
Just a taste of what I have done over the past 2 months.
My system is near complete, just a few more bits to add. I have plenty of the photos and a write up to come.
In summary, I have stripped the car "pimp my ride" style. I have run all wiring in factory locations, used centralised fusing for various components etc. I have concentrated on keeping noise and interference to a minimum, so I have run a common ground cable etc.
M1000, OPUS, 512MB, WifiCard etc all behind plexi
One of the amps on the opposite side behind plexi.
The theme is symmetry

hey nice setup so far..
What year is your car? Can you take some more pics of it? I'm thinking about a 318, or a 325 e36 (Prob '98)
Peace,
Rafster
Mine is a 93. I have had it for 4 years and its been a great car.
If i were to buy again, I would go for an M3 but at the time 318is is all I could afford in terms of insurance etc. If not an M3 a 325 or 328. The cool thing about buying a 6 cyl is that it is easier to peform say an M3 engine swap in the future.
The 318is is not slow, only prob is that they are hard to find with nice optional extra's like full OBC, heated seats, pop out rear windows, sometimes even leather interior. They were almost the poor mans BMW when they were new.
Go for the latest year you can afford, they fixed small problems as the years went on.
Will post some more pics when I can.

Looking good.
like to see the console and headrest screens.
Also how do you get your golf clubs in the boot?
OH! and loose the 'king fluffy dice![]()
.
I will put some pics up tonight. The LinITX screen was a mission and a half, ended up cutting up it and half my console, looks sweet as now tho.Originally Posted by Enforcer
Nah the dice areman - its sorta like a retro vibe, nothing serious.
Golf clubs - I am a BMW driver its against my morals to have anything remotely GOLF in my car.

Beautiful and clean trunk set-up man!! I think you did a wonderful job! How about you post some more pics of the inside of the car, console ect.?![]()
So here are some pic of the console.
Its not quite finished in these pics.
I have done lots since this in terms of putting things back together but you get the effect.
Start of with removed standard sunglasses holder.
LinITX shroud
Sunglasses holder trimmed to seam line
LinITX shroud trimmed.
At this stage this bad boy still did not fit, so I decided to modify the console itself by removing the top section of the sunglasses/clock console with my trusty Dremel.
Fitted together
Some brackets to screw surround into console, under heater knobs
Semi finished article, cig lighter is not permanent.

Some more pics of my finished boot install and LCD install.
I have a rounded IDE and some cable tidy to sort the wires.

The screen was nicely fitted. I'd be a lil' concerned with height/visibility though.. just for safety reasons... My screen sits a lot higher than yours and yet sometimes I feel that it's not the safest location it could be...
