I'd laugh if I ever saw you in public with that monstrosity. I guess it would be alright if you were a contestant in a "pile as much stuff onto a Segway as possible" competition though.

On a more serious note, I'd be afraid of getting mugged on that thing.

But it must put a drain on it with all the weight.

I remember seeing them for the 1st time at Farnborough a few years ago. BAe systems were using them for staff to get around the air show and I was amazed that they could go up and down steps.

I have 2 9aH batteries, and with ALL the gear it adds about 30 lbs to the total weight
With rider that is still 30 LBS LESS then the total allowable weight. so there is NO loss of power or range on it. So far with EVERYTHING running I get about 8 hours of power (Since the seg can go 12 miles on a charge, I use up my 'fuel' before I run out of aux power)

Mugged? - Shiiiiit they wouldnt figure out how the damm thing works!

Quatro - I'm still working on it, Once I have all the bugs worked out, I will then start the cabling internal, i just wanted to show the group, what I was doing

Wow, that's given me an idea. Gonna produce an invalid carriage pc with all the gubbins on including a 32" touchscreen lcd with walking stick stylus, Mantovani and Cliff Richard mp3's, supermarket and bingo aisle navigation and blood pressure and heart monitoring. I bet Enforcer would snap one up

I prefer the idea of using a projector and then having the screen fold out and act as a sail for environmentally friendly invalid transport! Good for california with all those ageing millionaires!
