Smallest MP3 player installation :-)

Last year we had done a RainyDayGarage project showing how to hook the iPod up to the stereo of the Porsche Boxster. We thought it would be interesting to show the MobiBLU in the same set up.

do you have to control it through it's buttons or is there a remote? how well can you see the display at that distance?....... that looks like it would be perfect to integrate into a sunvisor or something...

man those things really do nothing for me, its annoying enough having keys jab into me in my pocket, i cant imagine one of those being particurly comfertable

I like the concept of, Smaller, more versitle, more powerful, but at one point you just have to ask yourself, is this logical. I'm not dissing you install, just the cube. My Ipod is perfect for my needs, the only other logical step would be maybe to have a credit-card sized MP3 player, that can fit in your wallet, doesnt require a carrying case... Just my 2 cents.

Thats sweet. Although my cell phone plays mp3's and has a 512 flash card so i dont need more things in my pockets when i walk around.

wallet, keys, phone, zippo, cigs. A mp3 cube would push it over the top

I guess I'll be the first to diss the install... lol, why such an essentially cheap/crappy setup for a decent car? Do something fun and fancy, a carPC or the like ;D

Someone posted that player a while back, ick lol =P

I guess if you like it thats what counts but not my thing lol =D

hehe...that was not actually a serious install folks :-) We just popped the iPod off and plugged in the MobiBLU! Just wanted to show that it'll work.

As to the CarPC... that is the current project (see posts in the MacCar section):
