I think the problem is that all the money was spent on paint, and none on a nice set of photographs that actually capture and do justice to the paintwork.

I don't think that the money spent is important to viewers. You should leave that out next time you start a thread so people will look at your work with a different perspective. I don't see the 40K either but I do know that some paint and interior jobs can be expensive.

It's nice to see you spend that much to do such a job to have unique car, but is it isn't worth "I think", but again, you have the resource from your old man. At the end you still get a CIVIC.
With that much money, I would get a brand spanking new IS, 3 series, A4, TL/TSX, or any entry luxury car in the 30K range. A chance to get laid is higher in any of those lux car than a fixup rice civic.

Having the resources and having the money are different things. But I tend to agree... I would rather have an acura.

Trust me, I own a C-class Mercedes, almost every car becomes boring and common after awhile and you want to personalize it. I have considered buying a cheaper car next time cause I enjoy personalizing it more than owning a unique car to begin with.
