There is no way in h*ll that cost $40,000, there is no possible way, it looks like you just slapped some resin and fiberglass on went to Lowes and got wait spray paint. The outside looks like a boat, the body kit doesn't do anything for it at all. The wheels look like Walmart Bling Caps (Chrome Hub Caps). I know people who could have made one hell of a ride with $40,000. Civics are nice and all, but $40,000 is just way to damn much. You could have an S2000, or a Acura RSX type S, or a Brand new 06 SI, or even the Lexus IS300, and could slap turbo on any other those and could have come out ahead. But you just wasted your time, money, and effort for it.

Oh by the way, SI? Not quite BUD.....Nice try.

yes and no granted he may not be the greatest fabricator in the world at least he tried. id rather do it myself and **** up then spend 40K. put it this way it costs $4,500 to paint a full size chevy van three different colors, 100% custom the right way. i may not have colorforms in my clearcoat but 40K

keep in mind the kid is 17... he may lack some maturity but the way everyone attacked him is shameful. Granted he may have embellished a bit on how much it cost, but that is besides the point. he made a mistake to post dollar amounts in the forum, but his mistake was innocent... the majority of people that posted lack a greater degree of maturity as well, not to mention their posts are malicious and anti-productive. regardless of if you would have posted like he did, or not... put yourself in his shoes. He was extremely proud of what he had only to get shot down by a bunch of kids

well i dont agree with making the kid feel bad but with customizing cars does come with criticism. some time extreme critisism. some ppl love my paint job others are like your crazy for spending that you should buy a new car. to that i say NO. i like it and thats that. im sure he feels the same way. kid dont be afraid to stand up for what you have created. its your car do to it what you want and next time spend 39K
