It would be if I could get around to doing some work on it.

Also the PC is out of the car at the moment, while I try and put this new boot build together.

Hey enforcer, are you getting the idrive knob?

Also, I'm correct in assuming you cant just rotate the knob right, you can only "click it clockwise" (and it returns to its original position) correct?

    Not sure.

I like the idea, but not sure where it would fit in my car.

That will have to be added to the bottom of my ever expanding list of things to do.

in my version, its the way you describe it: you can turn it clock it or anti-clockwise for about 90 degrees. If you let go of the knob it will go back to its center position. I think the original bmw controller you can turn and turn and turn....

@confused: after looking at ur car I dont quite see where that I-drive knob should go!

hey mischka, i saw this and thought it was a great idea so i'm sitting here with the same joystick pulled apart in front of me and i'm wondering what you're using to centre the rotation since you cut off the existing spring bit (and even if you hadn't cut it off making the idrive knob use it would of been hard?) and where/how you mounted the sensor and the knob? thanks -evan
