There is no sub in the pics but I do have one. I think you are referring to the computer housing. The housing is made from plywood and sprayed in LineX the same as the dash. The front face is a brushed allum. plate and inside is the computer and a MTX amp.

looks good, really like the way you designed the case to fit where it is. Dash looks like it came out pretty good as well, dont remember ever seeing a textured finish on the forums before.

ah IC, It just kinda looked like a sub box and when I saw the "MTX" logo I thought it used to be one of those "thunderforms" (mtx's all in one sub. thing).

I like it...makes me wish I never should have gotten rid of my Blazer. I also like the texture on the dash bezel, but it looks like it might cut you if you got too close.

The texture is actually very even and not ruff to the touch. The pics actually make it look rougher because the light is reflecting off it. The material is called LINEX and is a type of polyurethane spray bed liner.
