Everything is looking good. I havent' been on the forum in a while but decided to come check things out. I started on my 00 Silverado ext. cab a little over a week ago. So far I've got most of the framework done on the dash. Hopefully I'll be able to get it glasses this weekend if not first part of the week. Also got it all deadened. I ended up sing 125 sq ft of Raamat and 7 yards of the ensolite foam. I still need a litte bit more but I ran out. I'll probably just get some Dynamat Extreme to cover the other areas that need done. For this truck I am going to use a Canton Pullman 4" midrange, Canton Pullman 1" tweeter, and my Dynaudio MW170 8" midbass. The Canton is the old stuff. I got it from one of our distributors that had 3 sets left in the warehouse that they found when doing inventory. Anyway the 4's will be in the dash, tweets in the pillars, and midbass in the kick panel. I'll have my IDMAX 12" in the center console in the front of the vehicle. I just recently bought the Alpine W200 and PXA-H701. Still using my usamps and will be running an amp on each set of speakers. Can't wait to get it all done and listen. I'll probably get on here and post pictures when I find my usb cable for my camera. I seem to have misplaced it.
Qmos was great...had really big scale and dynamics at the same time warm sounding. Really good height but focus and depth is its weaker areas. The K2 seems to loose its scale as compared to the Qmos but definitely better instrument separation and depth. Hope to hear more response of others who had listen to both. Thanks again Red! Good Luck with the competitions next year! I judge in IASCA events myself in Thailand and China and hopefully will get the chance to witness an Iasca event in the US!![]()
I know that IASCA is planning a bunch of new things this next season over here in the states.
This past year at IASCA finals, the Car from Thailand did very well. Was quite the showing by those guys.
Who knows, maybe you will make it over here for next years finals!
