Well, unfortunately it's my company car, and I might keep it for a litle bit more than a year before I'll get a new one.
The only thing I'm still thinking of is getting the subwoofer which has been made for my specail amp and put it inside my spare tire.
I'm not so sure yet if all the tools and spare parts I keep in the trunk will start to rattle..

What do you think.

Now, since you're going to have the car for a limited period, have you thought of going active ? If you have a 4 channel amplifier, you could buy an active crossover (2-way) and put 2 midbasses and 2 tweeters in front. This way, you can have enough control over your speakers, you'll have a nice frontstage and when you return your company's car, you'll be left with something that will be easily accomodated into your next install.

I can only suggest, that you might like to use some Dayton's components.

I would prefere those 7"

if you can put them in the front door panels
OR the 6"

I believe, that both (especially the 7"), can go pretty low (40-50 Hz), providing you with enough bass.

For tweeters, you could use those

If you like "warmer" sound from you tweeters, you could try to find some nice silk dome ones.

The above, i believe that will be a nice (also quite cheap) solution, for a quality frontstage (at least this would be my personal preference, if i was in a similar situation like you).

For the moment I think I'll stick with the amplifier I've got, was rather expensive, and has an aux in...
But it's true, the speakers are not the best...
I once had a look at the way the original speakers where mounted, and it seemed to me to be quite complicated to remove them without breaking anything.
do you have any experience?
