2005 F-150 Mac mini in motion

This is my F-150 Mac Mini installation
1. Dynamix 10.2 touch screen
2. GPS System with the sorry app. Route 66
3. THE CNX-P1900
4. Mac Mini
5. Truck Actuator
6. FrontRow is here!!!!

Now you see it!!!
The Mac Mini is sitting on a custom fiber box to hold it in place. The box is connected to an actuator that make the Mac Mini rise or to return to the close position. The AC vents for the rear passengers run underneat the Mac Mini so i cut 30% of the AC ducts to cool the Mac.

Now you dont!!

is that mini on a hinge that swings/pops up out of the console?

Is a custom fiber box that hold the Mac Mini in place. The box is attached to an actuator to make it go up and down. The actuator, cables and the Mac Mini is inside of the hand rest compartment.

First of all: Great install! You've got a huge screen, must be great for watching movies!
Do you have some more pictures of your mac mini housing (up and down) ?

Does your FrontRow install have any trouble with your own movies?
I have tried FrontRow but it freezes up when displaying my movies (DivX/XViD/QuickTime)
Also I get lots of error messages when trying to play Music in iTunes... which obviously (screenshot) works for you...

I think that you need to update the Front Row version that you have. I used to have the same problem with the old version. A good place to get the update is using the power of the pirates if you know what I mean. Also I use DivX doctor to change the extension from AVI to MOV it takes less than one minute to change the format and the best of all is free!!.
