Yeah, but a sacrifice had to be made I guess. Fiting all that was a pain in the ... as it is.
To tell you the truth, it's pretty cold outside here, and I don't miss them at all. :)

ah are you using the buttons for anything yet? give me a shout if you want a ahnd with any integration.

Well, I'm using Girder with the joystick pluggin, but I'm opened to suggestions. :) What did you have in mind?

nah that is perfect Cris. have you managed to get the volume knob working too? you can use this with a hacked mouse or possibly a velleman kit.

Nah, unfortunatlly the volume knob is only for show. :) No extra space in there for any extra hardware (for example I droped a small metal clamp from the dash in there, and it didn't reach the floor, there are so many wires and things behind there...:) ). But then again, I'm close to finishing my iDrive, so I don't care about that volume knob...:)

I can buy them for you if you like. I had problems to speak even in Polish language with them last time (they are Polish :rofl: :rofl: ), so it will be easier if I will order those rings and check them. When I bought those rings at first time, one of them was to short about 5mm. If everyting will be OK I'll send them for you.

Thanks, but that's ok, I've found some myself. They're not made especially for the Escort, but I'll make them fit. ;)

How about ordering for me? I also like them _really_ much... I can pay you by paypal if its ok? If not I can do bank transfer aswell, but I've had a bad experience with it earlier (some dude stole my money!! :( )

(btw, a mate of mine is going to Hong-Kong February 17th, and he's bying me 6 screens. They are about 50E down there. Cant promis anything, but if it turns out I dont need one (not sure wether im mounting 5 or 6 screens yet), I'll PM you then and you might be able to buy one.. :) Not a promise.. :P)

Where in Europe are you from? I really like your 'scort and I want to do the same thing to mine. :) (Except i will be having sun visor mounted 8" screens aswell + rear view camera. :) )

Already made my fake floor and fittet sub + amp in there. Only need a PSU + my screens to get starting now.. :)

I don't understand something. Are you trying to say, that one LCD will cost me 50 EUR or LCD's in Hong-Kong are about 50 EURO cheaper than in Europe?

Hehehe :) I get that all the time. :) Where are you from, and I'll tell you if I'm any close to you.
I don't really understand, whre are you going to put the 8" screens? they certanly don't fit in the sunvisors, and they're probably too big to see anything on the road if you put them instead of the sunvisors.

I'm really looking forword to seeing your dash. Out of all Escorts I've seen, this is the only one that has a screen mounted like this. It would be nice to have a similar job to compare it with. :) If you need any help or tips with the installation, let me know. As I said this is also available for DaraBB. :)
