The Metra dash kit that is connected to the Mechatroniks kit has the same bolt pattern as the stock radio, therefore I can use the stock screws to attach it to the dash.

Wow, that's good to know. Is this the Metra Kit?

UPS just brought me my package from the mp3Car store. I have tested the BU-353 GPS unit and it works great. It is pretty accurate when driving. I was impressed by the shipping from the store. It arrived quick, correct, and cheap. I also bought the MiniKey USB keyboard. It is perfect for a car, if anybody is looking for a really small keyboard.

Where did you mount the GPS? Rear Deck or on the outside of the Stang?

I am planning on actually mounting it tomorrow after work. I just installed it and tested it. I plan on mounting outside either near the FM antenna or near the wipers. I will take pictures and let you know tomorrow.

Well, I routed the GPS and finished wiring the AMP IR. I did a thorough cleaning of my car tonight, it looks better than when I bought the damn thing. I took some pictures, but it was with a friends camera. He will get me the pictures on a CD within the next few days. I will update the thread with some newer pictures.
Just you know, I ended up routing the GPS on the black plastic area by my windshield wipers. It blends in nicely and is hardly noticeable. I will get the pictures posted as soon as I get them.

Okay, my buddy finally brought me the pictures that I took the other day, so here they are:

This was actually after I washed and detailed the car, after I got everything installed.

Those two pictures are without the Dash Bezel installed to give you an idea of how much room I have left.

This is a picture, from the side, of where I mounted the GPS unit.

This is looking down from atop the windshield at the GPS unit.

Here is everything installed and running from outside the passenger window.

The next pictures are just random pictures of my car after a really good wash and detail:
