Hey 2 Stanger,
Just curious as to what resolution you are running your screen at and how it looks (text and video quality). I will be using the same screen and bezel with a MII12000. I hope my install comes out as clean as yours.
First off, sorry it took so long to respond. I have been busy with work and other activities.
As far as the total depth, I am not sure. I plan on taking some pictures the next time I tear it apart for updates, so I will update my thread with some new pics showing the dash empty of the computer.
Total cost is variable depending on how crazy you want to go and if you already own anything useful. The wiring is actually pretty easy because I kept everything within the dash and only as far as the underneath the passenger seat.
Here's my setup, check it out.

I am running at 800x600 and I can read everything just fine. The only thing I did was adjust the text size in Internet Explorer to make it easier to read.

Okay, sorry about the picture links being down. I forgot to switch over to my new webspace. I will get some updated pictures once I get some free time and a nice day. Everything is still working great, but I am thinking about upgrading the motherboard, CPU, and RAM. I will keep this thread updated again.

This is a truly great setup. I've been working on my own software package and have been mulling over how to do an install...this is definitely a method to try and emmulate.
Well, I have decided to upgrade the carputer already. I have a few new pieces of hardware that I need to install and implement: WinTV-USB, Intel Pentium M 1.6, Intel MB896 ITX motherboard. I also have another monitor that I am going to try and play with mounting somewhere. I will keep this thread updating with info and pics...
Here's my setup, check it out.

I upgraded the motherboard and CPU this past weekend. All I can say is that is makes a huge difference in performance. I will get some updated pictures as soon as the weather gets better. I also rearranged some mounting of my devices and bought a USB 2.0 hub. I will get some pics of these new locations as well.
I highly recommend the iBase MB896 from the MP3Store if anybody is looking to get a high performance system without the high power consumption.
Here's my setup, check it out.

I just finished my install and you've already got me thinking about upgrades. This is an addictive hobby.

By the way, your install gave me tons of inspiration to get finished with mine, so thank you for paving the way for a clean Mustang install.

No problem, that's why I tried to document as much as I could during my install. Your dash came out looking fantastic also.
