I just graduated for my study last week. Next week I begin my new job, so the screen has a low priority now.
I still have to order a housing to built in the console. The (old) Lilliput housing I had isn't the correct one because I have the new type Lilliput screen. So I have to order the new type Lilliput housing. I found one in America but the problem is that the delivery costs are more expensive than the housing is, since I live in Europe (Netherlands).I'm still looking for a housing in Europe.

Another small update.
Installed a second fan for better cooling and gave the front of the DVD player a new color.
To do list:

Small update.
I Fixed the TFT touch screen temporarily in the centre console. I’m still looking for a second housing for my TFT touch screen to built in my dash. I found one in America but the shipping cost more then the housing, so I’m still looking for a supplier in Europe.
I still have to build in my amplifier. I have to drill a hole from the motor department to the car, that is something for the next weekend.
Here are some pictures of my install so far:

Erwin, what engine does your car have? What year is it? There should be a spare gromit on the car directly above the throttle pedal leading from the engine compartment to the cabin if your car has a fly-by-wire throttle, instead of a cable. If it's cable throttle like mine, you'll need to drill. I went through behind the glovebox.
Drilling holes in the firewall can be dangerous. Afterall, it's there for a reason.Originally Posted by Erwin

I also tried doing the cabling myself, but I couldn't find the hole. I went to the dealer and they put the 12v through the existing cablepassage. (somewhere under the battery in my car..)
So it might be worth a shot to drive to a dealer and ask if they can wire it..if you cant find the existing passage.
Yeah, definatly.
Evey car has a small hole in there somewhere that can be used. It's just a matter of finding it.
I found some holes, but they are hard to reach.
I also found some pics from somebody who drilled a hole behind the glove box. I was thinking to do the same. I think it isn't dangerous.

Yeah, that doesn't look that dangerous, but then again, if you already found the hole...:rolleys:
Update,
Cables at battery.
Drilled hole.
Cable through hole, I used an inner tube to protect the cables.
Cables come in at the dashboard case. The 6mm2 is for the carputer and the 20mm2 is for the amplfier in the back of the car.
Cable to the back side of the car.
