I have the perfect place for it too hehe.
looks nice. i would however make some type of stealth bracket that can make the screen slide up and down in front of the stock nav screen that would look soo sweet and clean. plus youll have WOW factor lol

That's nearly impossible on an RX300.Originally Posted by EsKALad
The "stock nav" you're referring to is actually a Climate Control/Audio/Trip Calculator monitor.
It's essential to keep it in the car and very difficult to relocate elsewhere.

Newsflash: Take a look at my unsold stuff above, thanks!
Up Next: Make an OBD to Serial cable & Redo the "MMI buttons"
i never said relocate it dude. reread my post. i said put the lilliput in front ofit to slide up and down . like slide up covers the stock screen. slide down covers the radio and ac controls.
ALSO another thought. could you mount the radio ac controls farther back like 2 inches? this way you can put the lilliput in front of it and when you need the radio make the lilli like a flip down face. i seen a guy on here do it with a bmw. his stock headunit was behind his screen but it looked really clean and stock.

Problem is the entire part with the radio and the info screen is all one large plastic unit, there is not much play behind where the radio sits to try to recess it into the dash some more. What I have now is the best solution for time and moneyOriginally Posted by EsKALad
Thanks for the ideas though.
Ok after a few months of everyone bashing the monitor with their legs when they got in and out of the car I decided to try something new. I bought a replacement dash piece and hacked it up.

I am going to try the abs sludge method of holding it in there since both the lilli frame and the lexus part are abs. Ill post some more pics tonight of how that is turning out![]()
Alas playing with my new mac mini I didnt get to work on the dash. Hopefully todayAny ideas how to cut up abs pipe? I dont have a planer, saw, or anything of that nature. I already looked for local shops for abs pellets and no dice
