I do like the way the nav bezel looks 94, good look, I guess I'm just stubborn when it comes to keeping the stock stereo.

The only reason I'm not keeping the stock stereo is because I'm an audiophile of sorts...but I'm actually thinking of going headunit less. I saw a similar setup at SEMA on a Nissan Frontier. It was pretty sweet. I'm gonna use an Ipod and a bluetooth transmitter. I'm still trying to figure out how to incorporate the carputer, but I think I've got most of it figured out. I bought the DX dash piece for $30 so I didn't have to cut up the original, but I give you props...you're braver than me...lol.

i guess that what he might do, that's how i made custom spoiler, made it out of styrofoam, foiled it, put fleece over it, and fiberglass it, then reinforced with fiberglass mat

I have a 06' si on order and have had it on order for two months now and its due to arrive any minuit now, i live in canada and that has some advantages, like we have the best "beaver", good bear ect. however what we dont have is a nav package on the civics. i tried to call dealers in new york, buffalo, new jersey and some other places. once i say hi I'm from canada they hear hi im a ******* please abuse me, put me onhold for and hour and do me from behind... sorry if this sounds mean but i have left countless massages and emails about getting a dash. since i see it is avalable and only $30 PLEASE GINE ME THE PART NUMBER AND PHONE NUMBER OF THE DEALER, also it looks like you put in a lilyput screen in what size is it?.

I'm planning a stock look, with the screen mechanized folding down and in screen and the deck comming forth from the empy bowls of the dash,... wooh deeep^_^.

It’s a common insulating foam, you can get it at any lumber yard/home supply store. I would suggest getting it in 1” thick sheets, since I had to cut my block down anyway. If you need it any thicker all you have to do is glue multiple sheets together. I plan on wrapping it with wax paper or foil. Or maybe I’ll just keep the pink foam as the dash, it’s starting to grow on me. I can have my 3 year old daughter paint some watercolor on there for me. I will be using some plastic repair epoxy to fasten the fiberglass shell to the plastic. I picked it up at ACE for 3 bucks.

Man, if you really need it right now, you may need to get it from a Honda dealer in the states, the dealers can get them right away, but they’re like $45 from them. From what I’ve heard these little bezels are backordered all over the place.

Also, just wanted to add, if anyone plans on fiberglassing or bondoing the bezel and wants to repaint it the original color, Wal-Mart has Dupont Gunmetallic spray paint in the automotive section. If you don't have a Wal-Mart near you, you can probably find it at a near-by hobby store or automotive parts supply store. For some reason, none of the auto stores here sold it (Vermont). The Dupont paint uses the original paint codes from the manufacturers but gunmetal is gunmetal.

I'm the one with the Lilliput. It's just a 7". You have to do some trimming and you'll have to make a new back for it because the way the dash bezel is angled the back piece of the monitor housing won't fit at all. It takes a bit of creativity to get it to all working, but if you've never done something like this, this particular project wouldn't be a good place to start. I had to pull wrestle with the detentioner panel and well, if you break that, you're screwed
