Hi, nice install and really nice car I also have an '05 GT and I am working on the planning right now. I was woundering about the "case" for the computer what did you use. And also you don't really mention the OBD-II much what did you use and how do you like it.

Hi. my "case" is an aluminuim frame, the same used for the subaru lilliput kit on mp3carstore.
But this week end i will move my computer to the trunk. It was not a really good idea, my fan blade sometimes touch something in the dash when the car jump on a road hole (and we have many hole in road here in canada). And each time i need to do some modification to my computer i need the remove all the dash.

For ODB2, i use the pcmscan kit, software & odbreader integrated in RR.

It's a cool gadget, but i tried it on the drag track. but the data rate is too low to get real interresting data.
So cool for getting moving things on screen, but not for real data logging.
Still working on that to find if it's my configuration or the way odb2 work.

I also have a new stang, might want to check out my install. Its a complete bolt in fabrication. Check sig under the "hard" link. Much easier/cleaner than the dash/bondo. Bad *** GT man!

    Thx, seen yours very cool.

Today i removed everything from the dash to put the computer in trunk. As my new motherboard and cpu don"t want to boot now i will go with my old motherboard while waiting for my motherboard to finaly word.

Keep us posted on this project, I'll be getting a new Stang in the next month or so and will be putting a Windows Media Center PC in it ASAP.

The volume is controled with the touch screen.

And for the screen adjust i keep the IR window, so i can use the remote.

Looks really good man - the car too. If the stock look is what you were going for - you definitely accomplished that - Any more plans? what about sound?

    very nice job

With our roads in Quebec(canada) is better to install the pc in the back of the car. There is only 10-15 installs in montreal very low for a big city, there is new forum for montrealers, www.incarpc.ca just opened still need some upgrades, but we just started so come to visit us
mp3car.com is the best forum, but incarpc.ca is for locals
