Interior update on Page 6 !!!

Alright yall, after so much research and planning, I am 90% done with my carpc.

specs:
Memory: 1GB PC2100/DDR266 RAM
Operating System: xp professional
Power Supply: m2-atx
Software: road runner with system error skin
Mainboard: EPIA SP13000 1.3Ghz
Hard Disk / Flash: 2.5" 60GB Fujitsu 5400rpm
gps: Iguidance

Looks nice. One of my best friends just got one of those cars and was looking at doing something similar (LCD behind that flip up cover). Did you relocate the head unit or just use the computer outputs to an amp? What all was involved in installing the screen in that area?

i actually have the head unit in the back of the screen. i'll relocate it to the glove compartment once i'm done finalising things.

awesome install man. I can't believe how easy u tC guys have it with the screen install, but none the less still a great install. oh and when I first skin, I didn't like it, but now that I see it in the car, it looks really nice.

btw, why do u need a gig of ram?

Just wanted better performance men. that was before i realised that the more ram the slower it is to start from hibernate

Do you have a link to where you got that skin from? Downloaded a system error skin I found on here but doesn't seem to be the same "version" as yours.....

I love how that skin looks in our tCs... very nice... I am looking for a good front end/skin and I think this is a winner! (By the day, Don Omar!!! Good job on the music!)

as soon as I get money for my amps/subs, I will start installing my carpc in my tc soooo.. you'll get some questions most likely if that's ok...

Won't that drain battery power constantly?

Right now with hybernation, my pc is ready in less than 20 seconds..but 3? that must be nice

been doing it for over half a year now, and the car starts up everytime, expect for the one time I left my lights no, it did stuggle a little, but fired right up.

plus how much does a battery cost? I think I rather spend the 100 or so on a new battery instead of having to wait for the music.
