MP3 project for Land Cruiser. Done
The project to install a computer in my Toyota Land Cruiser for easy
access to my extensive audio library is complete.

Some general pics of the truck
Here is me setting up the MB and software.
Here is the LCD after I took it out of the case it comes in so I could
put it in my own frame.
Here is the case the MB will go in.
Dash install. You can see I mounted it a little crooked. Next time I
am in there I'll adjust it. That has nothing to do with the mount but
just how I bolted it in. It also shows the software I am using in the
truck. It has big buttons that are easily pushable (it is a

This shows the LCD dash mount dad made on his Mill.
Here you can see the LCD in the frame and also the fiber optic mounted
to the PCB. I still wanted to be able to use the LCD remote control
so I used a fiber optic wire (toslink) and mounted it to transfer IR
from a spot below the dash to the receiver (behind the LCD) It works
like a charm.

Lilliput 7" LCD touchscreen mounted in dash.
ShuttleXpress input device for media browsing.
WinXP, RR, winamp, 40gigs of flac audio files.
Alpine PXA-H701 sound processor (using optical digital input from
Alpine RUX-C701 interface (for H701)
Dayton SPDIF -> Toslink, digital to digital converter.
3 amps, 2 woofers, 2 ribbon tweeters, 1 sub, and a partridge in a pear tree.
Next additions will be:
GPS for navigation.
Backup camera for hooking up to the trailer easier.
Wi Fi for connectivity with my home network when I am home.
And possibly some trip software for mileage calculations.
