Its funny you should mention that because i actually have that exact piece! I purchased it first, thinking that I would use it, but then after mounting, i realized that i didnt really need it. PLEASE PLEASE Post a pic up for me. It would be simple to just put that piece in there after cutting out the center piece of plastic, and if it makes it look better, then I wouldnt have wasted 15 bucks!

hahaha, no problem! i will post up some pics tonight. you know those 4 tabs in the back of that piece? i dremeled them off so that it would fit with the screen on there and then just used double sided 3m tape to hold it down in between the trim and the bezel.

i will post it up for you later tonight buddy!

As promised, here are the images of my bezel:

i did absolutely NO CUTTING of the bezel. but i did cut the xenarc bezel. i chopped that thing up and shoved it into the FRONT of the civic bezel and it fit perfectly in the middle. i then purchased the trim piece for the front and put it there. it looks super oem.

Ohh DLe, that looks awesome! Im gonna dremel mine right now! WOOOT! Illl post pics up as soon as im done.

The only thing that im worried about is that my xenarc sits further back than your I think, so im not sure if ill have a gap between the trim piece and the monitor. Oh well, its not like I can return the trim piece anyways, Might as well slice and dice it!

Yep, as I thought, there is about a half inch gap between the end of the trim piece and the xenarc. DLe, how much cutting of the Xenarc did you have to do? Im not sure if im willing to chop that bezel up. Ill have to remove the lcd and all the electronics, which isnt too hard i guess and then make the cuts with the dremel. Eh, maybe this weekend ill look into it. it does look a hell of a lot nicer the way you did it though

i had to chop all 4 sides down. the majority of the chopping was on the bottom though. i left the inner part of the trim (the black part with you see) intact and just cut enough so that it could squeeze through the front.

Damnit! After looking at Dle's pictures, i wanted my screen to look like that. So, after about 4 hours work, here are the results. The screen def looks much more like it was meant to be there and not just an after thought. I love it now! WOOOT!!

im sure you're happier.

also, it's even more stable in there now. you can't possibly push that thing out, it's secured in there like you can't possibly imagine. it's going to look great in your car man.

Yeah i love it. I had to chop up that xenarc bezel pretty good. Basically, all that was left was a thin surround and the screw holes so that the touchscreen and the lcd could still be screwed in and held in place. Oh yeah, did you have an external dvd that you had to mount? And if so, how did you manage that?
