Ditto that, because it looks sweet, but with my past experience, if that's just hot glue or anything remotely similar, when it heats up (either from exterior/interior temp or from the monitor itself) the glue loosens up and doesn't hold. For what it's worth... ;-) But that's great if you'd had no problems. It does look sweet :rock:Quote:

Glad to see another wagon with a carputer install. I think I want to try to utilize the little shelf in the glove box rather than the nifty bin under the floor - I love that thing!

As for my setup in the Outback, it is a laptop that clips down onto a docking station run from an inverter off of the lighter plug in the trunk. I ran the wires under the rear seat (but not the carpet as I couldn't figure out how to get it up) behind the stereo ot the screen. I also installed a remote power button soldered into the docking station to turn on the laptop (and turn off when it crashes :P)
My only two complaints about the wiring in my system is that I didn't order the clock relocation kit soon enough and get darkfox1's extra wires for it, so I cut and spliced the factory harness. Then I broke down and got the relocation kit so the clock would sit nicely where the ashtray is. That and I would like a better wiring setup for the VGA/USB/Power.
I was thinking of getting a project board and soldering the connections onto it and building a custom wiring harness for all 3 lines so it would be a quick disconnect for when I need to pull it out, etc... but I haven't gotten around to it/not sure the best way to approach it. I really don't like the idea of having the VGA calbe connected halfway down behind the radio and the USB extention cord/USB hub setup for the GPS and touchscreen the way it is now. I'll post pics one of these days...

But... Did you use your CarPC with the sunshine? Your monitor does not have any sun-protection cover above...
I ask it because when I use my CarPC, Sometimes I regret that have not made my cover more longer that it is.
