maybe you can make clips for it as well to hol dit in place. A little padding and you won't mar the finish at all and it won't move. I'll have to take a look at it one day

MAJOR props for pimping the boondocks and the IBM!

Great idea to use a tablet pc for your car and it's a great yet very simple way to mount it but as Evandude also said I would secure it a bit more to the side ways and maybe with some band that's it's real secure in its mount.

You don't want to make a emergency stop and have your tablet pc flying round your car

But anyway, compliments on your "simple" set up.

if i buy a tool to use it once, to me, it doesnt justify the cost, so i most of the time do a half assed BUT RELIABLE job... hence the mount i made...

i can use your idea though and maybe even stick it to the back of my mount (to make sort of a cross shape) and even use the industrial double sided tape to hold it on....

good idea dude! i may try that if i find a piece of metal/alum. to work with!

you can also rivet instead of soldering. All you will need is a drill, drill bit, rivit gun and rivit to fit the holes you drilled to secure it. Rivet supplies can be had for cheap.

^^^ awesome idea, I hadn't thought of that... The only reason I can't do it though is because I'm cheap as hell and don't want to but a rivet gun... l0l... I don't have a garage so I don't want to buy a tool that I am going to use ONCE and then just sit there and have it collect dust... I borrowed a friends drill one day to make holes in my wall and then it sat in my apt for almost a year and it wasn't used!

    lol!

The rivet gun is about the size of a pair if channel lock pliers ( no storage problems). They are sort of rachet action, You squeez and release until the rivet is set. If there is a harbor freight tool next to you and you have about 10 dollars you can get a rivet gun that includes 3 or 4 different size of rivets and hve some cash left over. I bought one a few months ago and it works just as well as the high dollar stuff.

Very nice, i've been wondering where or how i can install my laptop screen. My 92 accord doesn't have much open space up front and i don't want to put it on top of my dash because it'd block half of my winshield.
