LOL - no duh - of course I could have done better, but since working on a mount isn't my main job in life, I did the best I could with a few minutes and materials I had on hand. I am cheap and didn't want to spend money plus I don't really have a lot of time on my hands (fulltime job + fulltime school) so i did what i could with what i had on hand.

like i said in my first post, this isn't a solution that's ready for the car show circuit like most people want, it was something that i made that works for me. end of story.

Nice setup man. I'm looking to do something similar, but have limited room in the front. I'm thinking about a pressure mount, like you did, only squeeze the foam in between my passenger seat and the center console. That or work up a way to mount it using the glove box as the holding mechanism, and have a small arm coming from that. I've seen people use flexible copper plumbing pipe, and may go that route. Of course I'd have to either wrap that, or paint it, so that it isn't an eye sore. Any one have any ideas?

Yours seems quick and easy, but you may want to check this one out.

It is very stable and easy to remove- no bounce-- and :-( no bandanna... but you could add your own.

Funny, I seem to have actually bought the laptop mount for the rammount in the past plus some of the linkage arms. I bought them on the cheap from some rammount seller about 3 years back. I had a 12" in acer tablet I was planning to use and then have the RAM arm mount onto a metal 1 DIN sized project box into the dash, with wood inside to brace. it was going to be my "on the cheap v3 car computer" so it would be a pick up and go instead of trying to run all those cables.

If I decide to sell it soon, I'll make sure to post up in this thread. :-)
