Panda: It looks like he has the basic ICC with small lcd screen, so he has to add the screen down there.

I'll be doing the same thing in mine, I have the prestige sound with full size lcd, just not colour like yours.

djmickyg: I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out, you are (almost) motivating me to start on mine.

as plauge said.. i only have the standard screen. not color.. other wise i would be doing it that way.. and it far to expensive to try and change the screen now.

plauge: im looking forward to see how its gona turn out myself.. im making it up as i go along..

i only plan to use hte bog mold as a mold to fiberglass. i wont be using it in the final product.. its just easy to work with to get to a disred shape.

Damn that car is badass! I would swap my mustang engine for a 4.0 straight six with an intercoeled turbo anyday. Thats like a damn skyline setup. But yeah like the ride, can't get anything like that that over in the states

I like it. Certainly a better option than hanging it off the dash.

Hey DJ, awesome job with the screen mounting.
I have a BF XR6 Ute and am a little annoyed at the way they incorporated everything into the screen, (radio, Heating, Cooling, etc). I was thinking that moving the screen itself with existing radio etc, would be better. Do you think it is possible to 'cut' the screen at all, ie just cut the part off you don't need, the radio part??? Then move that part to the tissue box holder??? Just a thought. Also how much room is there behind the screen? I heard that the vent piping is in behind it. I'm glad to see another person is trying to fix Fords mistakes!!!

yeah it is annoying but it seems the way with most new cars

a mate has just finished his set up, he moved the ICC down the bottom and put a screen in its place. i will get some pics in a min.
look pretty good..
the only thing is u have to cut and extend about 40 wires at the back so the standard screen can be moved down the bottom. i didnt wana do this just yet as the car is still new.
eventually i will.
