Yes the current system slows it down bigtime! Kills my traction hah. Look closely and you can see the seams on each side of the box. Its easily removable for when I hit the track or need to haul something. 2 ground wires, one power and an RCA. Two people can lift it right out subs, amp and cap in one shot.
As for the seats, I removed the covers and washed them in the washing machine. Then mix up a solution of dye with HOT water. I had 4 pots of water on the stove then dumped them in a big *** storage bin from Walmart. Soaked the covers in it and stirred it around until the water cooled down. I think I used 6 packets of dye. I washed the covers with the hose and turned a portion of my lawn black lol. My wife loved it! I let them air dry for about 3 days then washed them again until the water didnt bleed black/purple anymore then let them dry again. Oddly enough the black vinyl on the seat cover also dyed black. Its very messy and use gloves! My dumbass didnt feel like making another trip to the store.
AWESOME!!! Love the car, love what you have done with the engine and interior. Great paintjob on the inside! But you should really consider the body paintjob; maybe not a five grand work of art, but a nice glossy or pearl finish... Also: What's that crappy thing doing on your driving wheel? Have you consered changing the gear shifter's knob? How can you spend so much money in a car and still have the lame stock shifter's knob and driving wheel?

As for the shifter - m'eh. I have a similar small car. All the aftermarket shifters I've tried aren't worth much. They usually don't fit right or crack/break off during hard shifts. These smaller cars have a much longer shift throw - so many aftermarket shifters are out of the question.
Besides - why waste the money on a shifter and steering wheel, when they aren't going to make the car go any faster.
That's a wireless remote control. One of the best out there - why do you call it crappy?

very nice install, you dyed the airbag also... do you think that would cause ne problems in the event (knock on wood) of an accident? really i love it ill have to do that myself.
Last question: the dye on the seats will it rub off on clothes ?
