    2003 Silverado 2500HD

After accumilating parts for literally _years_ I finally broke down and did my install over the last couple weeks. Nothing fancy, but the xenarc is completely hacked up Only thing I would like to do with the screen is add a relay to auto dim the backlight when I turn on the headlights. Not sure how to do that.

Originally I was going to put the screen below and keep the stock head unit, so the center console is still torn apart. Since I already did some of the fab work on it, I'm just going to install a slim dvdrw, card reader, usb ports and a couple of guages. More pics when I get that going.

Ok, we must have something in common because this is exactly what I was thinking of doing. I just got my liliput for christmas, and was going to get started on the fab work in the next couple of days. Have you done any more work to this since these posts? Do you have any words of advice for me before I get started? I was planning on getting an aftermarket radio kit and hacking it up and molding that to the case of the LCD.

Did you keep the radio and move it down to the console, or did you use the carputer as the HU? I really appreciate any help you can give me. No need to re-invent the wheel, right?
