lol, bout time someone did something to our model car, I was getting all ready to be the first one, I'm just waiting on my screen now, I'll be getting it in another week or two. (I drive a monte carlo, basically the two door version of the lumina)
But pretty nice install... whats goin on with your cd case holder?
Its changed into a switch box..
I didn't connect the pc's psu to the car's ignition but to a switch so i can turn it on/off even when the car is not running..
there is one main switch to turn everything on/off
one switch to turn the pc on/off
one switch for the amplifier
one switch for the neon
and the other is not connected yet..
you could have it wired to the accessary line so when you turn your key to as if you were going to turn on your stereo it goes on, this way you can run your computer without your car being "on"
hey! like your install. i'm laying out the plans for an install in my '97 chevy lumina, and was becoming frustrated with the 1.5 din slot because it limits what i can do with the monitor. But now that i've seen yours mounted without major modification i am completely ok with the way it looks, and i like the ease of removal.![]()
Nifty computer case/amp mount, also i like the creative screen mount. Do you have any sort of security system? Depending on your area, you might wanna consider getting one, or just covering up the screen when you're out of the car. They seem to be a target for theft.
Thnx, there is no security system in the car.
Thats the reason why I made the screen removable. When I leave the car on a 'bad area' I just unplug the 2 cables and pull of the screen. So there is nothing to steal.
