'98 Mustang Cobra Convertible Carputer Install

Ok, well my project is 'nearing' completion (for now)... so here are some pics taken today. :-)

What used to be the back seat and what now houses the carputer and all perhiphials. And yes, I need to run a lint brush over it and/or vaccum. ;-) See POST #9 to see what the insides look like. :-)

And the 10.4" Touchsreen monitor in a custom bezel. And yes, everything done to this car was done by myself. :-)

Now... I finally have the time to install the Bilstien BTS Suspension Kit and Magnaflow MagnaPack Cat-Back parts that have been sitting at my place for over a month.. lol

Very cool install. The screen bezel is very clean.

you mentioned something about an auto power module for the laptop, how does that work exactly? did you have to open the laptop up and solder to the power button or the lid close button at all?

Now my next projects... installing the Bilstien Tuned Suspension Kit (shocks/struts/springs) and upgrading a few of my brake line components. And configuring/customizing the software side of the carputer

I've ordered a customized version of the ash tray switch panel seen HERE, that way I can remove those red switches below my screen. I'll post pics once it's received and then once it's installed.

/EDIT: My center console is NOT correct for my car. I drive a '98 Cobra Convertible, and the center console is from a '96 Cobra Coupe. I chose to go with the '96 console to rid myself of the two useless cupholds, get the James Bond kinda flip-out cup holder and get the little ashtray area with a flip lid. This allows me to add the aforementioned switch panel and also have a decent cup holder :D
