At least half of the work is done in regards to this. The soldering shouldn't be too hard. The interesting thing will be finding a good grounding point behind the stereo somewhere.
Do you have a Fry's near you? They sell the double walled shrink wrap that was referred to earlier in this thread and they have it cheap! Better than Rat shacks. If you do not have one the rat shack stuff will work fine but it is not a reasonably priced.

go to an electrical supply place.

the ones that electricians go to to get their stuff.

you'll find it in quantity and much cheaper than Radio Shack or Frys

I live in Clearwater, a city where there's a lot of old people and the biggest electrical store is Lowe's and Home Depot
I'm REALLY stuck with going to Radio Shack.

    Aren't you the resourceful woman

I guess these are really tiny places. At least 2 of them I must pass by or pass near to on a daily basis but I've never seen them. The rest are in areas I've never been through. Well...thanks.

at this level of install, you find these places, you don't just assume that they don't exist.

Ok...so I was supposed to do this during the weekend but didn't have time so I'm proposing myself to do this THIS weekend. But I have a question:
I bought these shrink wrap things and have no idea what to do with them or how to install them I searched around on Google for some clues for a bit but couldn't find anything useful.
