    Well...thanks guys!

On another note...somehow the heat here in Florida has been overloading the fuse for the stereo/accessories. This might sound crazy but it's true. I think the head unit works a bit harder when the car has been under heat for an extended period of time. The laptop is hooked up to the same circuit it seems and so is my radar detector and Ionic Breeze air freshener. I first got rid of the air freshener and that did it for a bit but the fuse blew again. I then unplugged the radar detector and have been fuse blowing free ever since. I kinda always thought that blowing a fuse meant a short in the cable line somewhere but I guess if too much current is going through that wire and fuse it also causes the fuse to blow?

    Flame on
Gotta say that's a lot worse than what I had done

Just added not too long ago the WiFi so this is where I put the antenna for that:

Seems to work well enough for what I wanted to use it. Most importantly I'm able to connect to wireless networks

    Another antenna pic:

Bottom antenna is GPS and the lump behind the stick radio antenna is the XM Radio antenna. Picture is old but this part never changed. GPS antenna was previously hooked up to my PDA GPS and the XM to a XM SkyFi.

    At least they were soldered

I just wired the switch wrong and it shorted

By the way though, if it makes you feel better I say some jackass on unique whips wiring the way you had yours.

there is no way that heat would cause that. It's probably because the rest of your wiring is still shoddy. Your grounds probably aren't proper and probably aren't making a good connection. You're probably shorting against something.

I'm still trying to figure out if you have the proper fuse size for what all you have running off of it.

Can you give a diagram as to what is running off of that fuse?
