    Sub Sound

Whats the sound like from the sub? I like the position of it but am aprehensive because if the center arm rest is up then is the sound muffled at all? Also is the rear of the sub strongenough to protect itself fom damage?

    Cheers

P.S nice install...definately likin the sub install!

the sound is powerfull, not so precise like the sound of boxed sub but with good noise and vibration insulation of a trunk it sounds very well... I listen to rock, jass and metal music but I also listen classic and I'd rate the overall sound of my system at 8 of 10... when the center arm rest is up the sound becomes muffled and imprecise, not absolutely though but anyways I don't like the sound in this case so I keep the sub open most of the times... the sub is a free-air model so its designed to be installed like this. I believe the rear is strong enough and it indeed looks solid. But actually I don't load bricks or rocks into my trunk so I had no chance to try the solidity at 100%
On my way to the new carputer install... again :)...

Same here so atleast it's good for that!

Right, so if it was in a box it would sound better? Is that because your sub isnt ment to be boxed?

when the center arm rest is up the sound becomes muffled and imprecise, not absolutely though but anyways I don't like the sound in this case so I keep the sub open most of the times...
Hmmmm how to hack up me back seats to loose the arm rest and replace with a sub lol (could always have a smalll boxed sub to....*cogs in brain turn lol)

the sub is a free-air model so its designed to be installed like this. I believe the rear is strong enough and it indeed looks solid.
    Fair's enough

But actually I don't load bricks or rocks into my trunk so I had no chance to try the solidity at 100%
I will be having a tendancy to be carrying PC's and 45kg UPS baterys in mine but meh, if its strong enough....mwahahahaha ill just claim any damage to it off my compnay lol!

yes, its designed to be installed like this - free-air install... the Qts of this model is 0,30 and Vas=40,8... I bought this one just for such a case of install... if you put it in box it won't be as good...
