Even with all the complaints, I think I'm going to stick with computers through the future of all my cars. It's not bad, just got a few things to tweak.
1. cover the wires in that black piping covering
2. replace the amp I fried so I can add the subwoofer I have
3. change the viewing angle on the screen so it's more level with the driver
4. move the screen just a little so the white/black stripes at the top of the screen aren't visible. Not sure what they are....touchscreen wires?
5. mount the components onto points in the trunk
6. find a better way to get the trim panel to stay in the dash

Let's share some ideas about only 2005 Honda Civic Coupes?
Check my computerized car project log out at http://www.E-Coupe.com/
I have a 2005 civic coupe as well, someday I may take some pictures and show you...
I have a xenarc 7" screen with a mac min.
I think the lines on the screen you mention, is the top border of the touchscreen. Meant to be hidden under the bezel kind of part. If you can, just try to push up the overlay. I think that is what it is. Don't go breaking though if I'm wrong!![]()

Oh, and hows your GPS reception in the vent like that? Good fast locks? I'm relocating mine in my '01 coupe, and thinking sorta same place.

I've never ever ever ever used GPS before......like I didn't even know how it worked, never seen it used before....so I don't know what to compare it to. But anyway, it locks in about 3 seconds. I hit HOME or I put in an address and it says it's waiting for the GPS signal, I leave the driveway/parking lot, and by the time I hit the road, it's telling me to turn left or right. I have underground parking under my apartment building, and as I'm driving through there, it's following me on the screen. Not sure how that works, but it does under that much concrete. Though I live on the 4th floor and my pager alarm still works, so it's probably not that thick.
