Some pictures from this weekends work.

Everything working pretty good, not done the final install of the PC yet. Also, radio reception is crappy, using the D-link, havenät looked into that much yet.

FCS3, yeah, kinda pain in the @$$ reachin around it, but if I am driving the shifter is placed in D, no problem at all, just when standing still, usually put the shifter in N and there is no problem.
In my case estetics had to go before function, and I wanted to fit the largest screen possible without loosing any essential functions from the car.

    Waiting for my amp......

    looks great.

a couple suggestions if you're open to them.

i think it would look a lot more 'oem' if you recessed that rotary knob a bit and maybe routed the edge or sloped the sides around the recess knob. another thing, if you are going to keep that grill, how about putting some black grill cloth behind it so you dont see the rat's nest of wires?

About the knob, haven't decided yet, I would have liked it to be black.
About the grill for the fan, you can't actually see any wires (black fan behind), but I am going to paint the grill in the same color as the console, then it won't be som "eyecatching".

good deal! again it looks great, just some constructive criticism. You can get pretty clever with the knob though. I'm not sure if you've looked around but check out the diy i-drive setups. one person...i want to say tonyg made a nice one with a ring that lit up around it. It was a lot smaller then yours and that accent really tied it all together.
