Since I haven't seen a SL with carputer yet, here it is, not quite finished, but getting there...
First of all, the car, MB SL600, V12, 6l, 394hp.
This was pretty much what I had to work with, since someone stole the stereo and broke the console, a new console cost about $1000.
Should come out something like this.
A lot of cutting and epoxi later.
Tryout after some glassfiber and filler.
Sprayfiller and added Powermate.
Testrun.
Painted the first time.
Need some cooling for the voltage regulators and monitor.
Everything should fit in there...
Getting there...
After the initial tests I decided I was not happy with the console and the frame for the screen, so I cut it apart again, will paint it tonight.
All the pictures can be seen here, will add more as they come.
