Talking VW Passat 97, CarComp 8"

Just want to show my project off, I used car comp in some years now, but now its starting to look nice out, therefore i want to share my pictures, and ideas.

    First some info:
    • Computer
Amd Athlon 2200+, 512mb DDR ram
      200gb Harddrive, Nvidia FX5200, 128mb
      Bluetooth dongle, Bluetooth GPS Dongle
BU303 USB GPS Dongle, 54mbit Wlan
      Opus 150w psu.
    • Sound System
JVC head unit, with touch screen (small)
      MDS amplifier
      2x 12" Alphasonik subs
10" VDO speakers in rear, oem speakers infront.
    • Other
      ODB2 Cable.
      DVB-T Digital TV tuner.
    • Not in car yet

    7" Liliput touch screen
    2x 6,5" screens in headrest
1" in dash 7" Touch screen
    1" rear mirror with screen.

    Pictures:

    The Car.

    One more

    First mount with lilliput.

    The Power in the trunk.

    The Trunk.

And if you lift the carpet up.

Again the computer, the metal case is the DVB-T reciver, note my home made harddrive mount, it works.

This is the 8" screen, its twice as bright as the 7" lilliput.

a picture of the sharp digital dvb-t signal of the danish channel "dr1". The signal stays sharp until 172km/t (tested).

This is to show the 2 antennas for the dvb-t reciver, its the 2 in the left and right side.

The computer arent getting any air from outside the sparewheelplace, been in south italy with the trunk fill.
113 degrees farenheit in the shadow (45d. c.)
    and the cpu nevergot more than 176 D. F. (80d. c.)
    And NO freezing or bluescreens.

Just ask if any qustions. more to come

any plans to better route all of those wires and to pretty things up a bit?

also, if I read this right, you have a set of 12" speakers and a set of 10" speakers? any reason?

The wires will be fixed in few days.

But having 2x vga on 5meter,
4x jack sets. and a usb cable, from front to back of the car.

The wires that ran over the motherboard is video, and audio signal for the dvb-t.

The 12" is the subs in the trunk
the 10" is at the back seat, its 3way speakers.
