nice work, a nice clean install. Love your wireless antenna. That wireless keyboard with the integrated thumb thingo, where'd you get it? Me likes...

First carputer installation.
Setup runs as follows:
7" Xenarc 700TSV Touchscreen monitor
Alpine CDA-9856 Headunit w/ detachable faceplate
Carnetix P1900 psu/shutdown controller w/5V output
Aopen Mini Pandora
Aopen minipci wireless wifi card
Fujitsu 80gig HD
Intel Pentium M 1.6 GHz Processor
D-Link 7-port usb powered hub
BU-353 GPS receiver
Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Mini Usb soundcard

JL Audio 500/1 Amp
JL Audio 300/2 Amp
CDT Audio 6.5" components
CDT Audio 6.5" fillers
JL Audio 12" 12W6V2 subwoofer
Started off by buying a trim kit for the w203 sedan, used fiberglass bondo to attach to the 700tsv face.
Some sanding and applied bondo filler, filled in small gaps with Squadron green putty
Added primer and more sanding for final coat of paint
Tore car apart, headunit and carnetix are placed behind the monitor
My amps
Detachable Faceplate extension using CAT6 cable
Wifi Antenna placed on passenger side top. Reception is pretty darn good.
Glove compartment box with usb hub and Aopen minipc. Kinda messy.. havent had time to hide all the wires.
Wireless keyboard with mousestick
Final result
Roadrunner Running Iguidance

Got it from overstock.com search for the scorpius. Works really well, even with the glove compartment box closed, it still functions when im outside my car.Originally Posted by secretagentman
I like it, we should keep in touch since I have plans to tackle the Canbus and get the steering wheel buttons mapped into the CarPC.

How do you get navigation? I mean even with the internet, you need a router right? Or can you use the stock navigation system?
from one fellow w203 owner to another, FANTASTIC JOB!
i have the same D-link USB unit in my car also
i wish i could do mine like yours. did u have a bose system and scrap that to get JL? I had a bose system in the car, and since everything runs on fiber optic, i didn't want to mess with it. plus the amps and speakers were already in place, so it was easier to get the logjam unit. where about are you located?
it says at the top he has the BU-353 GPS receiver
Nice buildup! I like the bezel you fabbed.

I love this installation. Your bezel looks amazing! The detachable faceplate using CAT6 cabling is a very clever idea.
Have you made any other modifications to the car PC since you installed it?
