While I agree with Red, it's ultimately the guy's choice. He wants to do it his way let him do it.

sure - he can do whatever he wants, none of our commments will stop that. but that also doesn't mean that we should just sit by idle while someone does something that has the potential to be VERY dangerous either....

This weekend we had a subaru meet locally and one guy had car like mine. When he opened the hood and showed me his wiring, guess who I thought of??? I thought of you. Because looking at his wiring, made me look like a hero. when he opened the hood, half of the wires came apart, so he fixed them, and that is a regular process for him when he opens the hood.

I wanted to take a pic for you but I felt so bad for the guy I didn't wanna make too much fun of him because I don't beleive I am pro or anything to judge, I just looked and shook my head, that's all.

Nice, looks like I've struck a vein. Alright, in the name of cleanliness and safety I'll run the sub wire thru the firewall. I also gotta clean things up in the trunk, remember these are shots just after I've "finished" the install and powered it up. Also, this car cost me next to nothing so I don't obsess over it. You're right though, if I take shortcuts like the sub wire and post huge pictures of it on a tech forum I'm gonna hear about it!

Yeah I wish it wasn't an automatic but it's still lots of fun. My brother has an SR20DET powered Infiniti G20 and I'm trying to get him into a carputer. He is a programmer tho and says that he deals enough with computers on a daily basis. IMHO Nissan builds the best vehicles out of the Japanese big 3.
