I have been doing this... 2007 Tahoe install
I am talking something over the top in a car that is not my daily driver.
As far as the Focal Be...I actually ended up using the Scan Speak Mid and the Be tweeter. I think they are a good combo. It's a nice tweeter but I don't think I would spend what I did for it again. As far as the mid, I like the Scan mid better. If you are really tight for space then the Be mid is a good option. I have ran Dyn 360 systems for the last eight years. This combo just blows it away.
And as far as Focal goes...I like the Be speakers. I woudn't use anything else they make. If you like the Dyns don't even think about using anything but the Be from Focal.

Whew...man it's hot outside. I just got through tearing the blazer apart. I went and looked at your pictures. Everything looks good. It has me wanting to do a more classy system in mine now. I do alot of car shows and everything stands out more if you paint it but I guess I will decide for sure if I will wrap in vinyl or paint when I get done with glassing. I'll probably do a combination of both. It's nice to see a classy install again though. If I had a brand new vehicle that is how I would do mine too. Are you going to wrap the woofer box as well?
Just curious...where did you get your Focal and scan speak from?
I bought the Focals local and the Scans from Madisound. I am going to paint the sub box. Its going to be the only "bling" thing in the car. And it's only going to be in the car for shows. I am going to make another box with a single 10" or 12" the fits in the back with the third row seat for everyday use.

realy nice to see how you constructed the dash. hopefully it will give other people the courage to do similar when stuck with a crappy dash in their cars.
and is that paint job really as good as it looks in those pics? That sub box is just stunningly finished.
Looks great! Did you use the old dash to make sure it fits? I mean to say measurements etc... of course you did. The fit is just too good. I am doing a similar setup with my car, well.... getting started. But this shows me how to start. Very nice work!
Dont tell me to shut up, I'm Rick James ******!!!
Yeah, I have just noticed on alot of websites they really don't show every step of the process so I thought I would.
Which box? The green or the black? Both of them turned out pretty good. The green stuff was my first paintjob I have ever done. If you notice in the picture the drop cloth and everything in the background. I got on my back porch and closed it all in with drop cloth and put a fan where the steps are blowing out. They have a few specks of dust in them but other than that they look good. I haven't tried buffing anything yet but will soon. I am finishing up a box I built for a 2000 Harley Davidson F-150 that goes between the rear bucket seats. It will be black as well.and is that paint job really as good as it looks in those pics? I didn't use the old dash for any part of the build. I cut the top, bottom, and side pieces first and connected them together in the truck. I was able to use the factory dash mounts on the bottm to secure everything from there. The whole dash was constructed in the truck. I took it out to staple the fleece to the top of the dash and put it back in. After than I pulled the fleece tight in the truck and stapled it. Then I put on the fiberglass resin. I did all this in the truck to make sure that nothing shifted during the fiberglass process. If something does and it is far enough off.....the dash will be a waste of time. Just keep that in mind.
