i'd say stick your kit along the bottom, it will raise the boot by alot but its worth it, it took a few friends about 10mins just to realise what i done to the boot so it is a good feature to have in a car pc setup.

i might reconsider, but i want to be little more unique, another reason the boot is massive.

We did experiement going to the movies. We fit 9 people in the car, 3 guys in the boot that's going to be hell of a volume to cover

pci/agp not really an issue, linitx.com or even maplins sell flexible ribbon extensions for the ports so not really an issue ive actually got a low profile graphics card and as for sound gonna stick a SB card in there at some point.

i wanted to keep it a low as possible for a balance between airflow and bootspace.

oh and 3 IN THE BOOT!!!

buy stealth boxes for the sides of the boot and put a pc side one and a sub in the other... lol

Doing almost the same think. Looks like i'm at the same stage as you aswell. Only difference is, i'm mounting the pc in the wheel arch. Might change my mind though. Just waiting for pay day to order the screen (got a spare radio cage).

I also decided againts a door for the spare wheel. The top panel is not screwed down (its a very tight fit) I can just lift this out and I still used the same design so can pull out the spare.

Never had a puncture in the 4 years i've been driving.

Another idea i've had is to get an old iso connector for the speaker wires, then you don't have to cut the original vw's.

Keep us updated on the screen install. I'm not to good with filler so need all the tips I can get.

yea very nice, i like the glass and everything but my install was rather to hide the hardware becuase of the area i live in otherwise i would of done the same with mine...

rofl, exactly the idea i had, before you posted this thread, i was planning a hidden floor as well, for the computer/amps (and the raised floor would let me have a full size spare, without looking stupid)

but yeah, safety.., i live in a safe area, but i dont always park in the safest areas :T

out of sight, out of mind they always say, cant see it, wont think to steal it.. (so i hope)
