Ok, we finally got the rear camera mounted an fully connected. Below are some pics....comments are welcomed.

You can barely see the camera from the distance.

    Closer look...

    Much closer...

This is the push button that will be used to turn on/off the camera when ever needed without having to place the car on reverse... For those that will ask what that device below is, it's the Alcohol Injection controller. We will relocate it in the armrest later.

Ok, we finally got the dash piece painted and it came out really nice. It was painted using car paint so it has a clear coat on it as well. We might have to paint the lower pieces a well for it to match nicely. Comments are welcomed.

Thanks, I'm really surprised how good it came out. Once I get the power/ground distribution block, we will begin to install everything

It's been long since my last post. Work, studies, and other things have kept the project slow. We also went through two different GPS software until we ended up the best, IGuidance V3.

Today we worked on the car all day after having completed the configuration. We got the computer running and it looks great. The fans are a little too loud for my taste so I will see if they can be replaced with much quieter ones. There are a couple of things that need to be done before it's flawless. We will be connecting the sound tomorrow as well. I will take pics of everything tomorrow. The install is very clean and you can only see a couple of wires where the carputer is located....

    Stay tune...

That bezel looks great salvi! Keep up the good work! May I ask where you took it to be painted, or what type of paint you used if you did it yourself?

That camera is also very well done. What kind of camera is it? Would you recommend it?

I am still working on my Forester. It is very slow going, especially since I have hardly done anything in the past two months. This past weekend I started working on the recessed floor in the trunk:

I also assembled and tested my Lilliput in the WRX bolt-in kit:

I still need to modify the center panel a bit, but I might be able to get by without using bondo if I am careful.

Let us know how the wiring goes. I'd be interested to see how you do your power distribution.

Thanks for the comments. The bezel was painted by a local shop. I think that they used the Subaru color. It won't match exactly to the entirior panels but it's pretty close. It also has a clear coat so it's pretty shiny.

The camera is the one that is up for sale in the MP3car store. It's really nice and mounting it is easy. The only think that has dissapointed me with the camera is that the outer black rim of it has turned from black to gold , how, I have no clue. It's nice because it works both in the daytime and night time. I would recommend it. I'll take pics of it when I get a chance.

The power distribution is pretty simple. It's almost the same as the first pic that I posted. I'll take pics of that today and post them as well.

About a week or two we completed everything. Here are some shots of the RR front end and the GPS. I'm in the process of taking a couple of videos to post as well

Custom molded 7” screen, looks better than OEM.

    Turn by turn GPS.
