Yeah, its only 60w b/c thats what the internal psu that came with it was rated. I have powered the system fine using that psu for hours without a problem, so luckily its not an issue with my setup. I would have just used a a regular pc psu for power, but I didn't have a single one that provided a a steady 12v with enough amperage unless I provided some sort of load on the 5v line (and I didn't want to go out an purchase some high wattage resistors; but it did work fine by plugging a bunch of hard drives in ). Plus, this is a much more compact solution. If you are thinking about purchasing this case though, you can get it with a higher wattage psu and thus a higher wattage 12v adapter.

well, im not going mini or whatever

im getting a full size mobo, that i've calculated to be close to 270watts with video card/hard drive/mobo/everything else, and i know that'll be overkill for a car pc, but i want to be removeable, so i can play games in my house, or at a friends house, throw it in the car for gps/music and whatever

in the car i'll need an SDC (or 2, rofl), but out of the car i'd need a 300-400watt normal PSU

i dont know why i never thought of doing like u did, but i think i'll do what you did :T
