It was actually not easy to hold the screen in the housing, especially when it's a touch screen and you keep pushing at it. I actually stuck a pencil behind it for support and held it all together with tape. Surprisingly, it's very sturdy inside the housing and doesn't move at all.
I actually fixed the angle that it stays open at. I used a piece of felt to hold the screen up when it's open. It works perfectly! It holds the screen in place and I can easily close it if I wanted to. All I had to do was adjust the location of the felt a bit and now the screen opens at the perfect viewing angle. You can see the screen perfectly at night now. It is also visible during the day, but it is much harder to see...especially if you're trying to follow directions with the GPS.
Unfortunately yes. I really love the look of the maps, but the interace isn't any good and I HARDLY get a satellite lock! I'm actually planning on installing iGuidance 3.0 tonight :-) (I hope that fixes my locking issues)
iGuidance is amazing! I can't believe! I just installed it and it works perfectly! Compared to MS S&T: the interace is better, it calculates routes faster, but most importantly...it actually gets a satellite lock! AMAZING! I finally have a GPS I can rely on in my car! Before I was always writing down directions and hoping my GPS would be able to just compliment them. Now, I hope I"m not speaking too soon since I haven't had too much time to play with it, but from what I saw so far....I am impressed.
In case any of you out there are considering using MS S&T, forget it! Or, buy it to get the GPS Antenna that comes with it and then use iGuidance...you won't regret it!
